Improved Low Pressure Methanol - One Methanol

The ILPM process flowsheet has the benefits of the LPM process with high reliability and high on-stream factors.

However, modifications to the flowsheet ensure that methanol plants can be built with capacities in excess of 5,000 tpd in a single train without the need for introducing oxygen.

The ILPM flowsheet includes the following features:

• CRG pre-reformer
• Standard steam reformer
• Conventional methanol loop
• Radial flow steam raising reactor
• Conventional distillation
