Oxygen Reforming - One Syngas

Autothermal Reforming

One Syngas has long term experience in secondary reforming in both oxygen and air service. This know-how has been developed for utilization in autothermal reforming (ATR) application. The proprietary ATR reformer and burner design has been in continuous service in large commercial units with air as the oxidant for over 35 years and with oxygen since 1994. This burner technology, taken with our unique combination of catalysts for the arduous duty of ATRs, plus sophisticated modeling capabilities, allows One Syngas to provide a reliable and robust design with a burner life in excess of 10 years.

Gas Heated Reforming

The first gas heated reformer (GHR) was built in the 1980s following a period of extensive development. Since then it has been used for the production of ammonia and methanol. The GHR, used in combination with an ATR, recycles high grade heat directly back into the reforming process instead of raising large quantities of high pressure steam. This process technology can be tailored by One Syngas to provide optimum performance to match the characteristics of the downstream synthesis process.
