Our knowledge in steam reforming goes right back to the 1930s when one of the worlds first steam reformer was built. Since then we have continued to develop both the process technology and catalysts. Through Johnson Matthey Catalysts, One is the market leader in steam reforming catalysts, with products for even the most arduous duties.

 Syngas offers two steam reforming technologies:

Conventional Tubular Reformer

Efficient and reliable operation of a reformer is key to the success of the whole plant. Our experience in reformer design speaks for itself, with over 400 units in operation world-wide.

Compact reformer

The compact reformer integrates preheating, steam reforming and waste process heat recovery in a single process compact unit. These proprietary units are factory built and shipped ready for installation thereby reducing on-site specialist resources, project costs and construction schedule.
