Catalyst Research & Development

 SYNERGY  research and development activities benefit directly from the close interaction between chemists, physicists and engineers with plant operations experience. We target catalyst improvements and new product development hand in hand with improvements in the syngas and methanol process flowsheets.

There is close co-operation between the teams involved in fundamental research, catalyst development, catalyst manufacture and synthesis gas production operational requirements. Review of commercial scale operation is fundamental to ensuring continued developments of value to the operator.

 SYNERGY catalyst development is supported by the most modern techniques in applied surface science. Catalysts and processes are developed in laboratory reactors, semi-technical units and side-stream reactors, pilot and demonstration plants ensuring accurate simulation of full-scale plant operations.
