Quality Practice Implementation
Davy Process Technology implements a Quality Management System that has been certified to comply with the requirements of ISO 9001:2000. We maintain an extensive system of inter-related policies, business objectives, processes, procedures, standards, networks, and other elements that together provide a framework for continuous improvement of our business and the satisfaction of customers.
Quality control is the primary responsibility of line managers. It entails effective application of the methods and procedures defined in the Company Operating Manual.
Quality assurance is achieved by in-house audits on a planned and regular basis to confirm that procedures have been correctly followed and that the Quality Management System is effective. Engineering documents are subject to audit, the scope and timing of which is set out in a Quality Plan. A project audit schedule is drawn up, which shows on a weekly basis which activity or documentation package is to be audited. The Quality Auditor is independent of those having direct responsibility for the work being performed.
Audits are also undertaken on the company's systems and working practices outside of specific project applications. All audits are documented and recorded and any non-conformities or recommendations clearly identified. The auditor ensures that necessary actions are completed and the audit is only considered complete when corrective actions have been completed, reviewed and cleared.
